<p>Intern Orientation Guide <br /><br /><b>MEDICINE <br /></b><br />UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL <br />2021 Perdido Street <br />New Orleans, LA 70112 <br />(504) 903-3000 <br /><br />Parking: Roman Street Parking Garage, 425 South Roman Street <br /><br />You must have LSU ID to get in/out of hospital doorways<br /><br /> Call rooms: 1st floor, behind the ER dept. You will get your own access key card. <br /><br />Log on to computer desktop with your username and password. <br />Click on Start, go to “My Computer” Click on “M drive” M Drive click on Rotations, then Dept of Medicine You will see Resources and Patient List Resources( Firm Resources: UH phone number list Hospital formulary Lasix IV protocol PORT score Framingham risk score, etc.)<br />Patient List: ward team lists and **patient tracking sheets V Drive click on MCL folder, then today’s date This is the “on call list” for all ward teams and subspecialities, for calling in consults</p> <p><i><b>Clinical Package </b></i>this is a folder on your desktop where you will find:</p> <ul> <li>CLIQ: program for looking up labs, your same username + pswd <br /></li> <li>Up-To-Date</li> <li> EKG Web: program for looking up old EKGs <br /></li> <li>Consent forms<br /> <hr /> <br /><b>Touro Hospital</b> <br />1401 Foucher Street <br />NOLA 70115 <br />(504) 897-7011 <br /><br /></li> <li>Parking: Delachaise Parking Garage across the street from the Emergency Dept. Sign back of parking garage ticket and include your Touro ID # which you will be given at the monthly orientation. (free parking) <br /></li> <li>To enter hospital, take parking garage elevator to 3rd floor. Turn left as you get off the elevator and cross the walkway into the hospital. You will pass a welcome desk then a nurses’ station on your right. Take the 1st stairs on your right to the 4th floor then go right to reach the morning report room. The computer in the morning report room has the ward teams’ patient lists, patient tracking sheets, and several helpful desktop folders (articles, lectures, etc). Helpful hospital phone #s are at the bottom of the patient lists. <br /></li> <li>Take same flight of stairs to 2nd floor, turn right, then 1st left to reach doctors’ lounge. <br /></li> <li>ER is on 1st floor. <br /></li> <li>Call rooms: Interns: 5th floor Upper levels: 6th floor. You will get a key. <br /></li> <li>Touro has Up-To-Date access on all computers. <br /></li> <li>NetAccess is the program to check labs. Username + passwd given out at orientation each month. <br /></li> <li>You will be given your Physician ID # for parking, dictations, etc. <br /></li> <li>You will get a Touro ID badge which you must wear at all times. <br /></li> <li> <hr /> <b>Ochsner Kenner Hospital</b><br /> 180 West Esplanade Ave, <br />Kenner, LA 70065 <br /><br /> <ul> <li>Parking: I would park in the front parking lot and enter through the main entrance the first day. You can park in the back parking lot for more convenient hospital access after that. <br /></li> <li>During orientation you will get username and password for using computer system.
